Andrew Tan 陈廷豪

Andrew is passionate about building ecosystems to help people help others. Before joining Wantedly, Andrew co-founded a Social Enterprise, The Shiok Collective, served as Head of Southeast Asia at BeMyGuest, and was Investment Director at One Belt One Road Venture Capital. Having accumulated international experience in his entrepreneurial journey, Andrew gives back by mentoring startups and speaks at conferences in the region. In his youth, Andrew had represented his country and schools for Tenpin Bowling. Andrew is also the Immediate Past President of the University At Buffalo (UB) Alumni Singapore Chapter and now sits on the Board of Directors for UB Alumni Association which has over 200,000 members globally. As part of his charitable contributions, he co-founded Makan For Hope during the pandemic which is a community for startups and entrepreneurs to network with one another and give back to charitable causes at the same time. At Wantedly, Andrew champions its mission, to Create a World where Work Drives Passion, together with his team in Singapore so that companies and talents can match based on shared purpose and values. Andrew was honoured in 2021 as one of EDGE’s 35 Under 35 as a social driver in recognition for tackling social issues and generating impact beyond themselves, and as an inaugural winner of Darwinbox's 40 Under 40 Asia HR Leaders 2022 for transforming the future of work. As a lifelong die-hard Liverpool FC (LFC) fan, Andrew harbours a secret ambition to be the Manager of LFC one day, on top of his aspiration to be a Social VC / Impact Investor to further his passion of helping people by building ecosystems.

As a new team member

Learn what it takes to excel in sales, and experience working in a startup environment. We are looking for a Sales Intern to play a critical role in Wantedly's business expansion in Singapore. If you are a quick learner, independent, and love to get your hands dirty, we would love to have you over for a chat over coffee! WHAT YOU'LL LEARN The successful candidate will report to, and work closely with our Sales Lead to implement the following: • Understand the importance and the role of sales • Learn the ropes of approaching customers by cold calling, and develop sales-marketing knowledge • Generate leads and build a sales pipeline using our CRM to achieve sales team objectives • Assist clients in troubleshooting, creating company profiles and job posts • Maintain relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance with the chance to join and/or organise networking events WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR You get the chance to interact with our company network and delight them! A positive outlook and can-do spirit, outstanding communication skills, good time management and the ability to multi-task are what we are looking for. If you have a solid track record in community building/stakeholder management, we welcome that experience. Last but not least, as a digital-first platform, we require candidates to be digital natives and comfortable using a range of software and online tools. Our close-knit team is big on collaborative efforts. Aside from work, we enjoy playing online games together on Fridays and chatting about all the latest food trends we should try out as a team, for fun!
