We are the HR Tech Division of Givery Inc, and our vision is to empower engineers. Our mission is to build a new career development and empowerment ecosystem for engineers and entrepreneurs in Japan, with aspirations to expand to Asia. We aim to achieve this through our core businesses of consulting, recruitment, education, and organizing hackathons. We develop and operate platforms that educate the next generation of engineers, and ensure that engineering job applicants are fairly evaluated. We are always looking to create new products and services that will add value to both the engineering community and to society at large, and we need a passionate UX designer to realize this! We currently provide the following services: ■CODEPREP (https://codeprep.jp/) CODEPREP is an educational programming web service where anyone can learn to code in HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Scala, Ruby, etc. ■Track（https://tracks.run/） We develop and operate an automated engineer skill evaluation service that enables businesses to fairly and accurately assess candidates. We believe that through a fairer skill assessment process, we can alleviate many of the challenges both employers and engineers face in Japan's current hiring environment. ■JPHACKS(https://jphacks.com/) We organize an annual hackathon league called JPHACKS. JPHACKS is one of the largest hackathons in Japan for students, and we inspire hundreds of university students every year to tackle social problems through software.

We've kickstarted a new project/service for helping recent graduates in Japan get hired as software engineers. The service will provide an unified portfolio, events, advice, and jobs discovery social platform for new grad engineers in Japan. We're seriously considering revamping our software development methodology by trying out the Pivotal way of doing things (Agile/XP/UCD). We're looking for a frontend and/or fullstack web engineer who can work in an agile/XP style team. We value stupid fast development, collaboration and radical honesty. Also, memes. Experience is preferred, but not a must. Being a team player, however, is a must. Basic Japanese fluency is required. We have some Japanese-only team members, and the intent is that we want our team members to be able to collaborate and push development forward within the team without intervention by the PM. Expectations: - Works with the team in our Shibuya office full-time - Can develop production-grade frontends utilizing Vue/Nuxt - Can implement web interfaces based on designs - Takes strong ownership of features, deadlines and the user's overall experience. - Communicates, collaborates, and has fun with the dev team on a daily basis - Is comfortable with pair programming and other XP practices - Accepts radical honesty, and earnestly gives and receives constructive feedback - Doesn't bite - *Can collaborate and communicate seamlessly with Japanese-only engineers.* Nice to Have: - Can also work in English - Is interested in learning backend development. - Has knowledge / experience in NestJS
