TripJournal is a location-based travel platform that combines LBS, AI, and interactive storytelling to transform everyday journeys into personalized travel narratives. Instead of treating locations as simple check-in points, the experience guides users through task-driven exploration. AI recommends meaningful photo opportunities, narrates places from a first-person perspective, and encourages travelers to engage with their surroundings through contextual missions. Each completed task, captured photo, and collected stamp becomes part of a continuously evolving travel journal. Built upon a growing database of Points of Interest (POIs) and curated travel routes, TripJournal combines geospatial data with generative AI to create experiences that adapt to each destination while preserving the user's personal memories. Rather than encouraging users to simply visit places, TripJournal explores how spatial computing and AI can help people build richer relationships with the places they discover—transforming travel into a collection of meaningful stories rather than a list of destinations.
