カダヤシと呼ばれるグッピーの仲間（卵胎生と呼ばれる種。胎内で受精した卵を孵化させ仔魚を生み出す）のメスに、性ホルモンを含ませたエサを与え、生まれてくる仔魚の生殖器に性転換の兆しが現れるかどうかを研究した。
