Project Awareness
Project Awareness aims to bridge the gap between part-time and full-time students at Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS). The intent of this project also aims to promote higher visibility and reach to part-time students regarding on-campus activities. The mix of student demographic in SUSS is unique in its own way, as its main stakeholders consist of mainly adult learners on part-time programmes previously. With the introduction of full-time programmes into the University only recently, the understanding between the two groups of learners in SUSS had limited interactions. Part-time students are usually pre-occupied with their full-time jobs and attending school after work, they are less likely to mingle around to understand more about the activities and programmes offered by the University. With lesser participation rate from the part-time students in activities and programmes offered by the school, the chances of interaction between full-time and part-time students dwindles. Therefore, the aim of Project Awareness is to create higher visibility and reach of activities and programmes offered by the University by leveraging on various existing communication methods such as fairs, career booths, social media, bulletin boards and et cetra. Other communication methods which had not been explored will be considered to push Project Awareness beyond it's current concept. The team intends to create forms for students to create an understanding of the students' thoughts and insights. “Indication of Interest Outreach Application Form” allows students to indicate their interest regarding the upcoming outreach programmes for them to stay connected with SUSS. Students who wish to know more will be required to fill in their personal particulars and will be kept in touch via the following channels such as a phone call, email or perhaps a simple message.
