The Netherlands is one of the most preferred countries for immigrants to the United States. This way, they don't have to go through all the hassles of applying for an immigrant visa or social security numbers in order to gain entry in the USA. Many agencies and officers will check whether an immigrant from the Netherlands is eligible to enter the USA when they apply for an immigrant visa. These officers and agencies are called ports of entry and are responsible for determining if an immigrant is eligible to enter the USA. Each port of entry has its own criteria. Therefore, before an immigrant application is processed, the immigrant will first submit an application to the US immigration authorities for consideration.
