Senior Thesis: Evaluating Data Contribution in Music Streaming Platforms Currently, I'm immersed in researching a unique method to assess data contributions on music streaming platforms for my senior thesis. This project was born from my idea to enhance the fairness of profit distribution among creators, fostering a more equitable music industry. To achieve this, I'm actively collecting significant data, such as streaming counts, 'likes', and follower numbers, using APIs from these platforms. I'm employing analytical methods like Shapley Value and SHAP to measure each artist or song's contribution to the platform's growth. This exploration into the music industry's digital trends is currently revealing how data can shape fairness in profit distribution. I'm firmly convinced that data analysis has the potential to create a more equitable future across industries.
