Unleashing Potential: Inside our dynamic L&D team

Welcome to an exclusive interview with Naoya Kondo, a valued member of our Learning & Development (L&D) team at RGF Professional Recruitment Japan. Today, Naoya will shed light on our comprehensive training program, highlighting its key components and notable achievements. Join us as we delve deeper into how RGF empowers its team members through structured learning and professional development opportunities.

Can you give us an overview of the L&D team?

Naoya: Initially, RGF Professional Recruitment Japan primarily focused on recruiting inexperienced individuals and providing them with training through RGF's on-the-job programs.

However, recognizing the importance of consistent training standards across RGF, the Learning and Development (L&D) team was established in July 2022. Our primary objective is to ensure that all new members undergo comprehensive training over a month-long period, fostering a strong foundation for their professional development.

Could you tell us more about the training content?

Naoya: Certainly! Our training framework encompasses three essential components. First, we provide team members with the necessary tools and principles crucial for success as consultants at RGF. This involves mastering internal databases, embracing the RGF consultant mindset, and gaining a comprehensive understanding of our organization's history. Second, we offer foundational training tailored for inexperienced recruits, focusing on basic consulting skills. Lastly, our practical training phase involves hands-on experience guided by managers and senior colleagues, enabling participants to apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios.

Can you share some notable accomplishments of your training program?

Naoya: Absolutely! While many of our program participants start with limited experience in recruitment, we've received numerous testimonials attesting to their acquisition of fundamental consulting skills after completing our month-long training. They emerge more confident and capable of tackling their roles effectively.

Apart from training, what other forms of support do you provide?

Naoya: In addition to our core training program, we facilitate a "Vision Mission Session" at the six-month mark, offering a platform for reflection, discussion, and reaffirmation of career goals. New members are equipped with materials such as the "Best Practice" manual for continuous self-improvement, along with multilingual resources and access to guidance from our Learning and Development (L&D) team members as needed.

What are your plans for the future?

Naoya: Up to this point, our primary focus has been on training inexperienced individuals. However, in 2024, we're thrilled to broaden our programs to incorporate experienced consultants. This expansion will enable us to implement targeted training initiatives aimed at enhancing their performance and fostering ongoing professional development.

Thank you, Naoya for sharing insights into RGF's dynamic training program and the vision for its future development.

RGF Professional Recruitment Japan remains dedicated to fostering a culture of growth and learning within our organization. Join us as we continue to empower our team members to reach their full potential and drive success in the ever-evolving landscape of consulting.
