The objective was to train the advisors to educate the clients on the pros and cons of investing, how investments can help to achieve client’s financial objectives faster and how risks can derail a client’s financial objectives. After training the advisors, this led to clients having a better understanding of investment and an increase in investment solutions sales of more than $1 million in 3 months.

Target Operating Model Project
The project was to optimise the operating model of the client’s treasury department and other related departments, with a combined headcount of more than 200. For the planning and implementation of the optimised operating model, my team developed the operating model documentation so that the client has a firm understanding of its businesses, primary support areas and key processes. My team developed the remit of each business area, from the functional remit to the remit of each role.

Implementation of Calypso project
The project’s objective was to source and implement a new application with trading and risk management functionalities, critical to my client’s growth plans. As the project manager, I coordinated and managed resources, and worked with the Calypso team and various client teams to successfully deliver the project in 2 phases.

New Business Unit Set-up
Through understanding what the client needs for the set-up of the new business unit, my team helped to design the new unit structure and the roles required to perform the functions through consultation with the stakeholders and looking at the best practices. We also developed the remit of each role in the new unit.

Implementation of scorecards projects
To provide the financial institutions with better scorecards for scoring retail and SME customers, the scorecard projects were initiated. As the project manager, I had to develop the project scope and objectives, coordinate all resources for project execution and manage the stakeholders. The new scorecards were successfully integrated into the system and used by the financial institutions in assessing their customers.
