卒業制作"Every Single Day" 時間をテーマにした作品で、大学四年最後の学期中、毎日カメラを手に取り、目に映るものを撮影し続けたドキュメンタリースタイルのモザイク写真。 1日1日の小さな写真たちが、自画像を構成する一枚の写真へとなる。1日/1枚の写真でもかけると、自分/この写真は成り立たない時間・自己・写真の関係性を融合させた作品です。 以下、発表会の際に展示していた「Artist Statements」です。 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Name: Nao Hasegawa Title: Every Single Day Every Single Day (2022) is a photographic documentary-style mosaic that addresses the essence of “time”. The composite image consists of 1750 small individual scenes that I photographed every day representing what I saw and felt for 3 months (January 10. 2022. - April 10. 2022.). One whole semester is captured in one glance and it offers the audience two different viewpoints depending on where they stand. When looking at the image from afar, it becomes my self-portrait wearing a graduation cap and a gown while when stepping closer, the audience notices there are numerous photos. As a result, it shows the interpretation of “The old self makes the current self, and the current self makes the future self”. Without each day and each picture, I would not be the person I am today. This core idea of time’s passage, and showing the ultimate achievement represented by my graduation clothes, makes this mosaic meaningful and strong. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
