At Tribeat’s Tech Division, we work across both Tokyo and Sapporo, with hybrid work as part of our setup. To stay connected and build relationships beyond physical distance, we use Slack as our main communication hub.
Slack isn’t just for project updates — we also have channels for casual chats, knowledge sharing, and nurturing our team culture.
Casual Channels
We believe that trust between people is the foundation of teamwork, not just project-based interactions. That’s why we have a wide range of casual channels in addition to work-focused ones.
During our Welcome Meeting for new members, we introduce the list of chat channels so people can easily join those that match their interests. None of them require posting, and not every channel is buzzing every day. Instead, they offer a natural space where you can drop a comment and get a light response, keeping communication easy and relaxed.
A few examples of casual channels:

Culture & Knowledge Sharing Channels
We also use Slack as a way to share knowledge and strengthen our culture. Some of the main ones include:
- IT学習/輪読会 (IT Learning / Book Clubs)
A channel for our monthly study sessions and book clubs. It’s used for questions, discussions, and follow-ups. - tb-wiki
Notifies when new articles or posts are published on Notion — everything from technical insights to personal reflections. - トライにきいてみよう (Advice/Knowledge Exchange)
A cross-project Q&A space, helping break down silos and making it easier to ask for advice. - プロジェクト状況共有 (Project Status Share)
Used in our monthly check-ins to share how people are feeling and if they’re facing challenges — making each member’s perspective visible. - トラブル共有 (Incident Reports)
A space to report project troubles or incidents, which often leads to learnings across the team and postmortems. - リリース共有 (Release Records)
Where project releases are announced, often with real stories about what was tricky or how things were solved. - 図書管理 (Company Library Management)
Auto-notifies when new books are purchased with team budget, giving insight into what topics members are exploring. - 勤怠入力お知らせ (Clockin/out Notifications)
Shares attendance and leave info from Google Calendar, helping avoid mix-ups and improving transparency. - 社内Podcast (Internal Podcast)
An internal podcast shared on Slack — covering everything from serious discussions to casual banter.
