Hello!
I`m Tomoyuki and I am in charge of Human Resources here at Aldagram.
This time, I would like to share with you an interview with Mr. Matias from PdM&Global Business Development, who joined our company on November 1th.
――Please introduce yourself.
Hi ! My name is Matias Prieto and I joined Aldagram as a Product Manager on Sep 2nd 2024 after nearly a year working as an intern at the firm.
I was raised and lived in various countries in Latin America and Europe. After graduating from Maastricht University (Netherlands) with an international exchange at ICU Tokyo, I decided to stay in Japan for a bit and gain another international experience.
My hobbies include sports such as going to the gym, swimming, etc, hanging out with people close to me, reading, and traveling.
⇧This is a picture that was taken at 山中湖 close to Mount Fuji, as mentioned, I love traveling and especially inside Japan !
ーーPlease tell us about your career to date
So far, I do not have much professional experience aside from internships. I joined Aldagram soon after graduating from my bachelor degree in International Business. Through my studies and undergraduate experiences (including extracurriculars) so far, I have gained skills in fields such as strategy, analysis, marketing, finance…
――What was your job search like?
The job search process for me was quite tough as I do not have “full working proficiency level” in Japanese. After contacting multiple firms, I ended up finding Aldagram, which I thought looked very interesting and was willing to interview me in English.
――What were the deciding factors for you to join Aldagram?
What led me to choose Aldagram, firstly, was its international DNA; although young, the company was already looking to expand abroad and looked for global talent. This indicated that Aldagram was a young, dynamic international company, which truly attracted me.
Secondly, being a growing startup, I understood that the learning possibilities could be big.
Thirdly,it was important for me to get a chance to introduce myself in English, since my level of Japanese could have been a problem. Aldagram also gave me that opportunity.
⇧This is a picture of Tokyo Tower in a clear night sky. I chose this picture because I went there with 2 Aldagram colleagues I really get along with and the Tower is close to our office. It is a nice memory !
ーーWhat challenges do you want to take on in the future with Aldagram?
With Aldagram, I want to challenge myself by solving problems for the firm while having an impact. For example, by going to client sites, inquire about their pain points, and help design solutions to solve them. Another example would be to solve tough questions such as “how to reduce customer churn rates?”.
