CI&Tでは、毎月最終金曜日にケーキタイムと称してその月に誕生日を迎える社員を皆でお祝いします。
6月はそれに加え、Festa Junina (フェスタ ジュニーナ）というお祭りを開催しました。

Festa Juninaって？

Festa Junina - 6月の祭り という名の通り、6月の間、ブラジルのあちこちでお祝いされるお祭りだそうです。
ブラジルはカトリック教徒が多く、カトリックの聖人にはその聖人にちなんだ日にその所業や教えを記念するお祝い日がありますが、6月には聖ジョアン・バプチスタ、聖アントニオ、聖ペドロの祝い日があり、また冬至もその近くにあることからこれらをまとめて祝うようになったそう。
CI&T Japanに所属のブラジル人従業員達の翻訳によると、田舎っぺ祭りなんだとか。
それぞれ火の聖人、結婚の聖人、雨の聖人、とされる３聖人に感謝し祝うため、農村地域の人々の格好をして男女で踊り、夜には火を焚くそうです。
Festa Juninaの正装ポイントは３つ。
・チェックのシャツ、ワンピース
・男性は髭ともみあげ黒子、女性は赤いほっぺとそばかす
・麦わら帽子
さて、CI&Tで一番正しい仮装をしたのは誰でしょう？

この日、私は朝からチェックのシャツを着て出勤しましたが、ブラジル人の男性陣はギリギリになるまでチェックのシャツを着ないんです！よほどかっこ悪くて田舎者の格好だと思っていて恥ずかしいのでしょうか。。。
5時にはそれぞれ着替え、そばかすをつけたり眉毛をつなげたりして準備万端整。
ブラジル料理もズラリと並びました。
メインはブラジル風ホットドッグ。

そして、みんなでゲーム。
椅子とりゲーム、二人三脚、ポップコーン運び。
大人になってずいぶん経ち、こういうゲームをもう何年もしていませんでしたが、やってみると盛り上がるんですね、これが。

もちろん、仮装やゲームに参加しない社員もいますが、それぞれのスタイルでこの雰囲気を楽しみ、飲んだり食べたりしながら話に花を咲かせ、ひと時を過ごしました。

CI&Tでは大小様々なイベントが開催されますが、その度に思うことは、毎日、もしかしたら家族よりも多くの時間を共にしている仲間なのに、こうした日常と違う場面でいつも互いに新しい発見があるということ。
この人、こんなに大胆な一面があったのか！
えー、意外だなぁ、と思うようなことが見えたり。
そしてそうした発見は、知らず知らずのうちにチームビルディングに生かされていくのだと思います。

今回、異文化のイベントを通してまた、新しい発見があり互いの理解や距離を縮めることに繋がったことと思います。
さて、次は何が！？楽しみです！

I'm HR at CI & T.

At CI&T, on the last Friday of every month we have Cake Time to celebrate our employees' birthdays.
This June we held a festival called Festa Junina (Festa Junina) at the same time.

What is Festa Junina?
Festa Junina - As the name suggests, it is celebration throughout Brazil during June.

In Brazil, there are many Catholics, and Catholic saints have a celebration day to commemorate their conduct and teaching on the day related to the saint. Since June has celebration days for Saint Joan Baptista, Saint Antonio, and Saint Pedro, and the winter solstice is also close by, people has got celebrate them all together.

According to our Brazillian in our office, it is a Inakappe - countryside festival.

In order to thank and celebrate the three saints, which symbolized as the fire saint, the marriage saint, and the rain saint, men and women dress up as people in rural areas, dance together, and light a fire at night.
There are several points below to celebrate Festa Junina officially.
*Check shirts and dresses
*Men have beard and sideburns, women have red cheeks and freckles.
*Straw hat
So who was the most perfect dressed up as Festa Junina way in CI&T?

On this day, I wore a checkered shirt from home and worked all day with wareing it, but our Brazilian men didn't wear them until the last minute! Is it so embarrassing wearing checkered shirt?
At 5 o'clock, they changed their clothes, wrote freckles and their eyebrows connected.
The Brazilian food was also in line.
The main dish was a Brazilian style hot dog!

And we play games.
Chair game, a tripod, and a popcorn carrier.
It's been a long time since I grew up, and haven't played these games for years, but when I did, it was so exciting.


Of course, there were several employees who didn't wear costumes or play games, but we enjoyed the atmosphere in each style and spent the time talking while drinking and eating.

At CI&T we have many events, big and small, and every time, even though we are friends who spend more time together every day, perhaps longer than our family, there are always new discoveries from each other in these different situations.
Wow, I didn’t know he was such bold man.

And I think such discoveries are utilized in team building unknowingly.

We must have new discoveries each other this time, too and this will help us for mutual understanding and shortening of distance from each other.
