Over the past few weeks, I've been deep in TypeScript and React fundamentals while building Anshin β a full-stack rental application platform using Next.js, TypeScript, Prisma, and MUI.
Instead of just following tutorials, I made it a habit to write down every concept in my own words once I actually understood it β not before. That process alone caught more gaps in my understanding than I expected.
Some of what I've worked through recently:
TypeScript: Interface vs Type, Generics, Union & Intersection types, Type Narrowing, Enums, the any vs unknown distinction
React: useState, useEffect, useMemo, useCallback, and how the Virtual DOM + Reconciliation actually work under the hood
The biggest shift for me wasn't learning new syntax β it was learning to ask "why does this work this way?" instead of just copying patterns that worked. Debugging real server actions, prop drilling, and state management in Anshin forced me to actually understand the why, not just the how.
Currently open to opportunities where I can keep building, keep asking questions, and contribute to a team solving real problems.
