【活動報告】第49回「東南アジア青年の船（SSEAYP）」管理部員としての職務を終えて / [Activity Report] Successfully Completed My Role as Administrative Staff for the 49th SSEAYP!

内閣府青年国際交流事業「第49回東南アジア青年の船（SSEAYP）」にて、1月13日から2月17日までの約1ヶ月間、管理部員としての業務を無事に完走しました！

​昨年度「世界青年の船（SWY）」に日本代表青年として参加した際、運営側の多大な尽力を痛感し、「今度は自分が参加青年を支えたい」と志願した今回の挑戦。
裏方として、多国籍な青年が集う特殊環境での突発的な事態対応や、運営側の枠組みと彼らの視点をすり合わせる「対話」の重要性、支援者としての「適切な距離感」など、実践的なマネジメントを深く学びました。

​また、参加青年の素晴らしいパフォーマンスを通じて東南アジア各国の文化に触れ、「いつか必ず現地を訪れたい」と思える繋がりができたことも大きな宝物です。

​参加青年、ナショナル・リーダー、管理部員、そして各地の受入委員会の皆様。一期一会のご縁に深く感謝し、今回の学びを今後の活動に還元してまいります。​

I have successfully completed my role as an Administrative Staff member for the 49th Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program (SSEAYP) from January 13th to February 17th.

​Inspired by my time as a Participating Youth (PY) in the Ship for World Youth (SWY) last year, I wanted to support this year's youths from behind the scenes.
Working in a multicultural, closed environment taught me profound lessons. I learned the critical importance of aligning the program's operational framework with diverse cultural perspectives, building trust through dialogue, and maintaining an "appropriate distance" as a supporter.

​Experiencing the vibrant cultures of Southeast Asia through the PYs' incredible performances was an absolute joy. Building cross-border connections that make me want to visit these countries someday is my greatest treasure.

​Thank you to the PYs, National Leaders, fellow staff, and local Reception Committees for this once-in-a-lifetime miracle. I will definitely give back these lessons to my future endeavors.

Once a PY, forever a PY. The voyage has ended, but your true journey has just begun. Wishing you all the best in your future endeavors!
