「自分の一番好きなこと」を掛け合わせる。それが、私にとって開発という趣味の醍醐味です。
私は長年、大のマンガ好きとして過ごしてきました。しかし、既存のデジタルマンガプラットフォームの多くに、どこか物足りなさを感じていました。インターフェースが複雑で使いにくかったり、読者が没入できるような工夫が少なかったりと、読書体験が「作業」のように感じてしまうことがあったからです。
そこで、マンガへの情熱と開発スキルを融合させ、読者が心から楽しめる空間を作りたいと考え、「Yomu」の開発を始めました。
Mixing two things I’m deeply passionate about is the hobby I enjoy the most, Manga and Development. As a long-time manga enthusiast, I’ve often felt frustrated by the digital landscape as most platforms lack interactivity, feel cluttered, and fail to truly engage the reader.
I built Yomu to change that.
Yomuは、「デジタルでのマンガ体験を、紙の単行本を手に取っている時と同じくらい直感的で心地よいものにする」というシンプルなゴールから誕生しました。単なる「マンガが読めるサイト」ではなく、ファンが時間を忘れて作品の世界に没入できる、そんな専用の場所を作りたいと考えたのです。
このプロジェクトは、私の技術スキルと「日常の不便を解決したい」という強い想いが交差する場所にあります。また、美しさと機能性のバランスを追求する、私のユーザー中心のプロダクト開発へのこだわりを形にしたものでもあります。
Yomu was born from a simple goal: to make digital manga reading feel as intuitive and comfortable as holding a physical volume. I wanted to move away from "just another website" and toward a dedicated space where fans can lose themselves in their favorite series.
Yomu represents the intersection of my technical skills and my drive to solve real-world frustrations. It reflects my commitment to thoughtful interface design and my approach to building user-centered digital products that balance aesthetics with functionality.
