Julio Caro - Some Important & Uncovered Facts

Julio Caro graduated from Cornell College of Arts and Sciences in 1981 with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater Arts and Philosophy. He was a student at Ithaca College. His father opened a conservatory in the San Telmo area in 1913, and it quickly became one of the leading centers of music, instruments, entertainment, and education in the city.

He and his brother, Francisco, studied piano and violin separately; although their father later gave them the desire to change musical instruments (the third brother, Emilio, learned the violin). Against his father's wishes, Julio got the position of the second violin at the Lorea Theater for a zarzuela performance in 1915. Despite his father's punishment and opposition, the brothers began attending tango recitals in Buenos Aires. These early influences include directors Eduardo Arolas, Juan Carlos Cobián, and Roberto Firpo.

After graduation, Julio joined the banking training program of the Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company in New York. from 1982 to 1985 he was with Hannover manufacturers.

He created his first solo feature titled "STATIC" with Keith Gordon, Amanda Plummer, and Bob Gunton in 1985. The film was written and directed by Mark Romanek, a filmmaker he met while attending Cornell.

In 1987, she starred in the film SIESTA, with Ellen Barkin, Jodie Foster, Isabella Rossellini, and Gabriel Byrne. Lorimar Motion Pictures (now a division of Warner Media) produced the film.

From 1988 to 1995 he was involved in the music industry and film management working with many artists. He was the manager of the artists Safire, The Throbs, The Sea Hags, and Raw Youth.

He was a consultant for JDW Entertainment and signed artist, Mary J. Bliged. From 1996 to 2000, he worked at the production company Radical Media in New York and Los Angeles and led the development of their entertainment strategy.

The company was a producer of advertisements before joining them. In 2000, in collaboration with Radical Media, Julio Caro produced a movie called THE CELL starring Jennifer Lopez for New Line Cinema (also a division of Warner Media).

From the year 2002 to 2007, Julio Caro worked with Jennifer Lopez and supported the launch of her production company, Nuyorican Productions. He and Ms. Lopez went on to produce the film, EL CANTANTE, in 2007, which was released by The Picture Company (a division of Warner Media).

From 2007 to 2012, Julio Caro worked with billionaire Ron Burkle (the subject of a criminal case). From 20112 to 2014, Julio Caro worked as a producer in the production company, Bunim / Murray Productions, which was the company that produced the historical series, TALKING GABATAR KARDASHIAN.

From 2014 to 2016, Julio Caro worked in two production companies not focused on the Latin market and Spanish language content: Two Wolves Productions by the Venezuelan director Daniel Duran and Cinema Giants directed by the Dominican director - American director Jessy Earth. Along with Daniel, Julio Caro produced the movie called BRAVETOWN with Lucas Till, Josh Duhamel, and Laura Dern. With Jessy, we created a Netflix Original series called EL GANADOR, released in 2018.
