I joined the company from a freelance contract as I was working closely on their key project – Philips Family Rewards. The project was in an undesirable situation as it was outsourced poorly riddled with poor implementation and bad software design. My role was primarily to solve these “programing issues” and rewrite many components of the system against a very tight timeline. I eventually took over the work entirely and launched it successfully within the specified timeline as well as solved a major hyper-personalization feature that was a main feature of the project. Due to the hyper personalized content using data streams from click, commenting, sharing, purchase and events attendance, we achieved outstanding engagement rates that far exceeded regular engagements.

Shoppers in the airport for travel retail were target in this experience, with an understanding that shoppers are in a hurry; transit or arrival. The self service touch screen allows shoppers to easily browse thru the various products and find them quickly on the shelf via “wayfinders”. Wayfinder LEDs mouted in the shelf edge will light up at the exact location of the products for easy identification.
Built on top of the experience is the tester bar, an array of products for shoppers to try out, each product has an attached RFID tag which will trigger a response on the screen when placed on a test puck platform. the interface displays the product information while the user tries the product.
