WHO DO WE NEED? Peatix Product Engineering is a distributed team supporting a popular and complex service. Mobile Engineers at Peatix drive the development of Peatix's Android and iOS native apps. We want you for the skills you want to hone as much as for the skills you bring to the table. You expect to be guided and supported rather than micromanaged. If you relish the ever-changing landscape of product development and take pride in, and responsibility for, your work then drop us a line: we want to meet you. Responsibilities: ・Write robust, maintainable code for Peatix's mobile native apps. ・This role is focussed on the iOS app, but we encourage engineers to work together across platforms. ・Work with backend engineers to design appropriate APIs for the mobile native apps to interact with. ・Develop an in-depth understanding of the codebase, as well as refactor and improve it. ・Contribute technical knowledge to conversations about the direction of Peatix's mobile native apps. ・Review code developed by the mobile native apps team. ・Design and create systems to develop, test, deploy, and monitor code. ・Provide emergency support (service outages, etc.) if required. Requirements (Must-Haves): ・You'll be working with a distributed team, so there is an emphasis on being a capable verbal and written communicator. ・You can communicate in business-level English or above. ・You have the ability to empathize and work with a diverse range of colleagues. ・You have experience and confidence building native applications for iOS in Swift.
