The Content Writer for HIMSS Asia-Pacific will develop content for various projects such as reports and articles. Working closely with the Asia-Pacific Editor, the Content Writer will ensure content is produced at a high level of integrity, accuracy and timeliness; and written in a thought leadership, educational tone. Essential Functions: • Responsible for report-writing projects such as market research reports and other thought-leadership reports. • Develop content for client-sponsored projects such as articles, eBooks, white papers, and infographics. • Source for and develop news stories for HIMSS media publications. • Be responsible for the entire content process, which includes planning of content structure; formulation of questions for stakeholders/clients as part of information gathering; coordinating with stakeholders and clients; and writing. • Conduct research on healthcare and technology topics to substantiate content with high-quality references and examples. • Stay abreast of latest trends in healthcare and technology. • Ensure content that is produced follows HIMSS' internal guidelines. • Work closely with designer for content that requires artwork. Required Qualifications: 1. A minimum of 2 years of related work experience producing articles, reports or publications. 2. Experience in writing about healthcare OR information systems and technology would be an advantage. 3. Excellent written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail. 4. Excellent research ability. 5. Ability to articulate and to sell ideas and concepts. 6. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
