We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Collections Officer (3 months contract role) based in Singapore. The role will manage/be responsible for o handle our internal collections process while also managing 3rd party collections relationships. This individual will be responsible for consumer (B2C) debt collection activities through all appropriate avenues. You will also have an affinity for digital commerce and technology.
The role will manage/be responsible for
- Execute internal processes to optimize collections outcomes on a daily basis
- Monitor customer accounts and follow up with customers for timely payment to minimise debts
- Review & Process Waivers as per guidelines
- Update and manage collections tracker for internal tracking, assessment and preparation of monthly Collections performance
- Work with 3rd party collections partners on escalated items and prepare report on their performance
- Provide time and accurate updates to internal systems based on customer responses and actions
- Collaborate and communicate cross functionally on extreme cases
- Identify and analyse potential bad debts and prepare justification for write-offs
- Mail out Demand Letters to customers based on established guidelines
Key Requirements
- Willingness to try new approaches to get the appropriate outcomes
- Problem-solving, positive and constructive attitude is a must
- Structured, factual and data-driven. Ability to deep dive into data and elaborate clear and synthetic insights
- High level of discretion and capable of confidently using experience and data to assess and recommend a best course of action even in an ambiguous situation
- 2-7years of relevant hands-on collections experience, bad debts and handling fraud cases
- Flexible to work on incident triaging and escalations which may be non standard work timings during incident periods
- Strong business acumen and team mindset
- Standout “can do” attitude and enthusiasm
- Comfortable with ambiguity,flexible and adaptable to change in a fast-moving organization.
