We are looking for a Senior Product Designer with a good B2B and design background. If you have a user-centric approach, have an eye for detail, belief in working on refined pieces of digital experiences that are to the point, trendy and yet pushing the boundaries. As a Senior Product Designer and influencer of your team, you will help us understand the needs of our customers and advance design practices throughout the group. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team, and you need to collaborate daily with a diverse and highly motivated set of specialists who deliver exceptional experience and business results.
Get to know the Role:
• Collaborate closely with Design and Product leadership to define features and communicate ideas effectively to achieve the right outcome.
• Work cross-functionally with Product and Engineering partners and understand the business impact of your systems and show good judgment when making trade-offs.
• Take ownership of design by providing a system-wide view and caring for product design team rituals that ensure more robust work across the entire team.
• Work independently and efficiently on multiple projects of different size and scope while taking a long-term view of how it fits Grab's holistic vision.
• Analyse user behaviour, pain points, and industry trends to solve customer-centric ambiguous problem areas in existing or new verticals.
• Conduct and facilitate ideation sessions, design validation, and usability testing to ensure the highest product quality standards.
• Deliver flows, prototypes, sketches, and high-quality visuals that set the standard for design excellence offer a straightforward narrative for others to pick up and continue with.
• Solicit feedback and resolve issues beyond the scope of your team and work closely with Engineering to ensure high-quality implementation and user experience.
• Bring perspective and provide context for current and future UX patterns and behaviours and make the appropriate trade-offs.
• You actively shape the future of our Design organisation by improving design processes, mentoring other designers, and participating in the hiring process.
The Must Have's:
• You have 4+ years of experience in product design.
• You have an outstanding portfolio (online or PDF) which reflects your design style, feel and taste. Projects/work which shows web-based interaction, visual design, ideation, and system thinking expertise.
• You understand how to design responsive, data Informed, usable and accessible web-based solutions.
• Experience collaborating across team boundaries as an individual contributor with diverse teams in a dynamic and rapidly changing business-minded environment.
• A good storyteller and communicator can translate complex systems and structures into quick prototypes that are easy to understand for various stakeholders.
• You use quantitative and qualitative data sources to inform your design decisions.
• You have successfully delivered multiple medium and large-sized projects as a Design Owner, coordinating numerous design teams.
• You define problems, design, validate, and deliver user experiences that solve complex problems generating positive feedback.
• Your work is consistent and of high quality (e.g., intuitive, solves the problem, pixel-perfect etc.) and incorporates best practices. Your team trusts your work.
• Your design reviews tend to be rapid and quality-oriented (proportionate to task complexity). You provide constructive feedback for other peers.
The Good to Have's:
• Regional experience working across different countries/markets within Southeast Asia, including understanding general cultural and localization differences.
• B2B, SaaS, marketplaces and mobility domain knowledge.
