What we do

My Family Vet Clinic was established at Bukit Batok in 2012. Dr Vanessa Lin, our Veterinarian, has cumulated years of experience both locally and internationally (Australia and Malaysia) in diagnosing and treating animal illnesses as well as performing surgeries. She graduated from National Junior College in Singapore and obtain her Degree in Veterinary Medicine in University of Sydney, Australia.

How we do

Dr Vanessa has a keen interest in dermatology, Chinese Medicine Therapies for pets and soft tissue surgeries, of which she had worked in emergency hospitals that demands competence in treating trauma lesions and correcting medical or surgical disorders. This has allowed her to gain valuable experience in caring for and treating critical patients.

As a new team member

At My Family Vet, we are looking for a good team player that can double up as a Vet Nurse & Receptionist, and is able to multitask in a busy practice. Computer literacy is a must. Good communication skills, work ethics and love for animals and their welfare is what we are looking for. Position Full-Time Vet Nurse/Receptionist that can commit for at least 2 years or longer. Job Scope The primary responsibilities of the Veterinary Nurse are: i. Ensure the cleanliness and sterility of the clinic ii. Covering the receptionist duties which includes handling the clinic's hotlines and client enquiries during and after work hours, including emergency calls iii. Registration of current and new clients and providing the necessary forms needed for them to sign as per the veterinarian's instructions iv. Dispensing of medication to owners and giving advice on preventive care of their pets as per veterinarian's guidelines v. Handling all administrative work involving filing and keeping of records, i.e for expenses, accounting, etc. vi. Receiving delivered stock from suppliers, arranging of items for display, stocktaking of items in the clinic and keeping track of inventory vii. Preparation of medication and stocking of medication cabinets viii. Carrying out diagnostic imaging including radiograph and ultrasound for dogs, cats and other small animals ix. Carrying out minor procedures such as nail clipping, shaving, bathing, ear cleaning and stitch removal for dogs, cats and other small animals x. General care for hospitalized dogs, cats and other small animals, inclusive of cleaning the cages, feeding during mealtimes, administration of medication and checking on their well being xi.
