Get to know the Role:
The Assistant Manager, Payroll and Operations is responsible to own all aspects of payroll and operations. Provides a reliable backbone for the HR function to ensure the People team functions with reliability, stability and efficiency. You will report to the Head of People, Digibank to deploy the people agenda and programs for the Digibank
The day-to-day activities:
[Payroll Management and Rewards]
• Full management of all payroll activities (in-house or outsource) as the “maker”
• Perform all required statutory reporting / obligations related to payroll.
• Support the Head of People to execute Rewards strategy as required, for example, remuneration benchmarking, benefits review etc.
[Talent Acquisition]
• Offer letter generation and management
• Work with external vendor on background screening and flag
[Records Management]
• Ensure proper records management utilising automation and effective tools to minimise
[Management Reporting]
• Prepare reports for leadership, regulators as required, to facilitate analysis, decision making and / or regulatory reporting.
• Prepare submission for regulatory surveys from time to time
The must-haves:
• 4 - 7+ years of HR experience with strong experience in Payroll management.
• Understanding of tech and regulated financial industries. Knowledge of both is a strong plus
• Highly adaptable in fast-paced and high growth environment
• Meticulous, organised, with a preference for an “enabler” role for the People team
• Strong cultural competency with must-haves in integrity, can-do attitude, and team player. Results-focused while constantly iterating in a startup environment
• Data and technologically savvy to leverage on relevant tools and information to drive insights and decision making
• Able to thrive in a VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous) environment
