Responsibilities Create procedures and policies that ensure timely collection of customers payments while maintaining a high level of customer retention Analyze the effectiveness of the company’s credit control system and implement changes to improve profitability and reduce bad debts Perform debt collection processes on overdue invoices or payments, and initiate legal procedures if necessary Maintain good working relationship with customers to ensure invoices are clear for payment and resolve queries both internally and externally around outstanding invoices in a timely manner Monitor debtor balances to ensure a reduction in debtors DSO Analyze customers’ payment trends to highlight any concerns to sales team and company executives in a timely manner Perform creditworthiness assessment on potential or new client and provide recommendations to company executives Perform profitability analysis on client accounts Liaising with customers, as well as internal personnel including the sales team, company executives Requirements At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Mathematics or related field Proven track record of making successful credit decisions and familiarity with credit analysis Excellent teamwork, organization and communication skills Confidence to deal with a range of stakeholders in a calm manner to handle potentially uncomfortable conversations Ability to listen to customers and negotiate winning solutions Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships, both internally and externally at all levels Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize a demanding workload Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail Good business acumen for problem solving Proficient in Microsoft Office products and accounting software program Career Growth Hungry for career growth ?
