Our arcade games are large, dynamic, physical products that leverage a wide variety of technologies, interfaces and formats to deliver unique and engaging user experiences. Developing these games requires a high level of collaboration within a development team consisting of a range of disciplines including mechanical, electrical and software engineers, game developers, artists, designers and fabricators. As a new team member

ABOUT Our development team consists of passionate gamers and tinkerers, driven to make the most fun, engaging and rewarding games and experiences for our players. We collaborate, evaluate, and iterate on everything that goes into the game, with a strong focus on “easy to play, hard to master”, and great user experiences. The electrical systems are the lifeblood of our products, and our Electronics Engineers work closely with the entire development team to understand the various features and functions, leveraging their passion for technology and electronics to engineer solutions that allow the industry’s most innovative games and experiences to come to life. RESPONSIBILITIES Create and refine technical documentation that detail the product’s design intent. Discuss and solve complex problems with manufacturing departments, sub-contractors, suppliers and customers. Specify and manage electrical drawings, part lists, and BOMs. Support running projects to meet agreed deadlines. Facilitate game cabinet fabrication through prototyping and development. Work closely with the mechanical team to ensure electrical requirements are understood and catered for. Design, operate and evaluate rigs for testing electromechanical components and concepts. Design, test and evaluate PCBs for use in our products. Testing and verification of complete the product’s electronic system. REQUIREMENTS 5 years experience in system and PCB design. Strong experience with Altium design tools with proven ability to design, prototype and troubleshoot PCB designs. Strong experience in debugging systems (comprising of embedded controllers, PCs and harnessing). Strong experience in PCB testing procedures and creation of instruction for 3rd party fab houses. Strong ability in embedded systems programming Strong ability in creating and maintaining documentation for production and end-user support. Experience in complex harnessing design and production an advantage. Familiarity with UL safety standards and test equipment an advantage. Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal. A passion for games is critical as you’ll be collaborating with the games development team and contributing to LAI Games products.
