This position will teach an graduate level Building Information Modelling course. We seek candidates with expertise in BIM and construction engineering and management.
Job Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching a BIM-related course focusing on enhancement, review, conditioning, and validation of 3D architectural, structural, and Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP) models along with the integration of cost and scheduling models. Additionally, the candidate must demonstrate an extensive knowledge of 3D BIM software and have experience in estimating and scheduling.
The candidate must have a detailed knowledge of computer operations including Autodesk and Revit. Extraction tools including Innovaya, NavisWorks, Assemble Systems, Synchro, and/or Solibri; experience in other modelling and extraction software applications would be an advantage.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in design modelling, construction management, 3D, BIM Software such as Revit and AutoCAD
- M.A. or M.S. in Architecture is preferred, or appropriate Certification specialization in Construction Engineering and Management is a plus; or candidates with a few years of industry-experience in the design and construction industry are preferred
- Experience in Hand Drafting techniques highly desirable.
- Zero to two years experience in instruction or formalized education process, preferably in a post-secondary or college institution.
- Membership in a professional association tied to area of instruction preferred.
