About Pet360
Pet360 is the first blockchain-based pet ecosystem in Brazil. With 160 million pets and zero blockchain infrastructure today, we're building a complete Web3 layer to transform pet care - from NFT passports and vaccine certificates to smart contract adoptions and on-chain pet insurance.
Our Web2 platform is 80% complete. We're now building the Web3 layer from scratch. This is a greenfield opportunity - you'll shape the architecture and build it from the ground up.
The Role
We're looking for a Senior Smart Contract Developer to join our founding team and own the entire on-chain architecture.
You will be the first blockchain engineer, with the autonomy to design, build, and deploy the core smart contracts that power Pet360. You'll work closely with our backend (NestJS) and frontend (Next.js) teams to integrate the Web3 layer seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy Solidity smart contracts (ERC-721 for pet passports, ERC-1155 for vaccine certificates)
- Implement upgradeable contract patterns (UUPS) for future flexibility
- Write comprehensive tests using Foundry
- Optimize gas usage and ensure security best practices
- Build the blockchain API layer (NestJS + ethers.js/viem)
- Design on-chain data architecture and indexing strategy
- Collaborate with backend and frontend teams on integration
- Mentor junior developers as the team grows
What We're Looking For
Required:
- 4+ years of Solidity/EVM development experience
- Deep understanding of ERC-721 and ERC-1155 standards
- Experience with upgradeable contracts (UUPS or transparent proxies)
- Strong testing discipline (Foundry or Hardhat)
- Experience deploying to mainnet (Polygon/Ethereum)
- Understanding of DeFi protocols and security best practices
Nice to have:
- Experience with Polygon ecosystem
- Knowledge of NestJS and TypeScript
- Background in DeFi or NFT platforms
- Smart contract audit experience

- Gas Strategy: Gasless minting via relayers/paymasters (sponsored transactions)
- Token Standards: ERC-721 for pet passports, ERC-1155 for vaccine certificates, with soulbound token consideration
- Backend: NestJS, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Prisma, Redis
