What we do

Driven is the mobile-first car marketplace that allows anyone to buy and sell cars using just their smartphones. It is an automobile marketplace app designed specifically for both car sellers and buyers to browse, explore, learn and trade cars easily. We are trying to make buying and selling cars fun again. Driven allows the average seller to sell his car effortlessly with their phones just by snapping photos and list it in under 30 seconds. Driven provides dealers and buyers with the right tools to optimise search, sales and browsing of cars. We are working on some super-cool features like instant loans and insurance! Further, we plan to employ AI and Machine learning to make the customer experience smoother, recognizing car plates, predicting market prices and instantly retrieving data, making the selling and buying much faster! The team of 5 includes the founder, 3 fulltime developers and 1 tech intern, based at Icube building with their own private office space. We would like to hire up to 2 more tech interns who can help the tech team with the backend and frontend projects. www.sgdriven.com

As a new team member

Business Development Intern We are looking for a Business Development Intern to help us identify and expand our business opportunities. Your role will be to interact with clients, acquire new users, growth hacking, do B2B and B2C sales, building new business relationships with synergistic partners, identify new sales leads, pitch products and/or services and maintain fruitful relationships with existing customers. As Driven is based in NUS, you will get to be part of the startup and hackathon community which Driven is closely affiliated to. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers, from first contact until you close the deal. You will also ensure proper after-sales services and onboarding users from the very onstart. If you are motivated and results-driven, and enjoy working in a team environment, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will boost sales, onboard new users and contribute to our long-term business growth. We are hiring both interns and full-timers! Responsibilities Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails Present our company to potential clients Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services Customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction Build long-term trusting relationships with clients Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market Report to the Business Development Manager on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans Managing Social Media and backend customer service Requirements Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls) to onboard users and dealers to the marketplace. Track record of achieving sales quotas. Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts) to do reports and analyse performance. Excellent communication and negotiation skills Ability to deliver engaging presentations BSc degree in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field. Worked in a startup before and/or have a keen interest to work in one.
