We're looking for 50 enthusiastic alumni volunteers to help make our upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival Carnival a huge success! We are expecting up to 1,000 guests, and coinciding with Children's Day celebrations, this family-friendly event will feature a variety of activities, performances, and food stalls, celebrating a rich cultural tradition. As an Alumni Volunteer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the carnival runs smoothly and creates a memorable experience for all attendees. This is a great opportunity to reconnect with fellow alumni, give back to our alma mater, and celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival with your family. What will you be doing? Volunteers will be assigned to specific roles based on their skills and preferences, and our event needs as well. - Registration: Greet attendees at the entrance, manage the check-in process, and distribute event materials. A welcoming and organised approach is key here. - Logistics: Assist with the physical setup and teardown of the event space, including booths, stage areas, and decorations. - Event Organisation: Work behind the scenes to help manage event flow, coordinate with vendors, and troubleshoot any issues that arise on the day. - Booth Management: Oversee and run one of our many interactive booths (e.g., calligraphy, lantern-making, traditional games). This role requires a friendly and engaging personality, as you will be the face of the activity. - Ushering & Crowd Control: Guide attendees around the venue, direct them to various activities, and ensure a safe and orderly flow of people. - Program Management: Assist with managing the performers and program flow, ensuring the evening will be on schedule and transitions between segments are seamless. Who are we looking for? - Ideally, an alumnus of the institution. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - A positive attitude and a willingness to work as part of a team. - Ability to stand and move for extended periods. - Previous volunteer or event experience is a plus, but not required. What is required? We require volunteers to commit on 2nd October 2025 from approximately 2pm to 9pm. A mandatory briefing session will be held 1 week before to cover event details, roles, and safety protocols. What will you get? - Exclusive alumni polo t-shirt. - Complimentary meal and refreshments during your shift. - The chance to network with other alumni and community members. - An official Certificate of Appreciation. How to Apply? If you're ready to contribute your time and energy to a wonderful Tao Nan alumni event, please complete your profile and click I'm interested", and we will be in touch! Join us in celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival and creating a memorable experience for our community!
