This Sales Manager position will be based in Japan and responsible to sell AI data services and solutions with focus on speech, image, or relevance to Japanese customers.

To meet this momentum, Appen is looking for a passionate and ambitious Sales Manager to help us expand our presence in the Japan market. This is more than just a sales role — it's your chance to shape how AI evolves locally by connecting cutting-edge solutions with the right partners. What does a typical day look like? As our Sales Manager in Japan, you'll be: - Driving sales opportunities and achieving targets by understanding customer needs and creating demand. - Building strong and lasting relationships with clients, from first contact to contract closure. - Working closely with our Legal team on NDAs, contracts, and negotiations. - Collaborating with Marketing to elevate the Appen brand in Japan. - Partnering with our Client Service team to design smart AI solutions - and solve real-world problems. - Supporting cross-functional efforts like press activities, local events, site development, and knowledge-sharing to grow Appen Japan as a whole.
