Key Task & Responsibilities 1. Investment Management - Lead the sourcing, evaluation, and execution of early-stage investment opportunities (pre-seed/seed) in the APAC region in the Fintech, Web3 and Insurtech industry. - Manage the investment portfolio, making strategic decisions regarding follow-on investments, exits, and divestments. - Monitor the financial health and performance of portfolio companies, providing actionable insights and recommendations. - Conduct market research and trend analysis in the broader fintech and insurtech sectors, with a focus on emerging technologies. - Prepare and present regular reports on portfolio performance to senior management and stakeholders. - Maintain detailed and organized records of startup interactions, investment decisions, and program outcomes. 2. Startup Coaching - Collaborate with portfolio startups to deeply understand their business models, strategies, and growth challenges. - Provide guidance on critical business aspects such as product development, marketing, sales, and operations - Conduct regular check-ins and milestone assessments to track startup progress and provide constructive feedback. 3. Networking and Ecosystem Building - Develop and maintain strong relationships within the startup ecosystem, particularly in the fast evolving Web3 sector, including with other incubators, accelerators, investors, and industry experts. - Utilize your network to connect startups with relevant resources, mentors, investors, and potential partners. 4. Program Development - Work closely with the program management team to enhance the acceleration program and its resources for startups. - Identify trends and emerging opportunities in the startup ecosystem to continuously improve offerings and support. Your Profile - Bachelor or Master’s degree from a leading university, preferably in a field relevant to innovation, technology, finance, or business. - At least 4-6 years experience in VC investments in the fintech sector. - Demonstrated ability to independently lead and manage the full lifecycle of pre-seed and seed-stage VC deals, from sourcing and evaluation to execution and portfolio management. Series A+ experience is considered a plus. (We only consider candidates with senior investment experience for this role) - Strong expertise in fintech and insurtech sectors; proven experience in Web3 is a MUST for this role. - Strong track record of conducting comprehensive market research and trend analysis, with a focus on identifying and leveraging emerging trends such as AI, Web3, and other disruptive technologies in fintech and insurtech. - Excellent communication and relationship-building skills within the startup ecosystem. - We will be prioritizing individuals with an existing right to work in Singapore.
