Job Summary
The above position is responsible for completing engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements to achieve a completion in the Organizational objectives and fulfil revenue for the Company. The position is encouraged to accomplish projects in an efficient manner to reduce wastage and leverage on the strengths of the people in the Organization.
Duties & Responsibilities
Main Duties:
• Develops project objectives by reviewing projects proposals and plans, with regular conferencing with Management.
• Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, assigning the relevant teams to be involved in the project.
• Ensure projects are carried out accordingly to tender specifications and customer requirements.
• Review projects’ schedules and ensure timely submission of Authorities’ documents.
• Ensure all additional works are agreed, instructed and signed off by customers before commencement of work.
• Strictly adhere to all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements.
• Identification of engineering problems and ensure solutions are implemented.
• Involve in process engineering initiatives to troubleshoot gaps and come up with strategies to improve productivity and maximise output.
• Monitor and ensure site readiness for Testing and/or Turn-on, and ensure all documentations are prepared and submitted in advance.
• All paperwork and documentation submitted to be completed timely with good quality and accuracy. Monitor the overall submission process, from start till end of Project, well documented in both hardcopy and e-copy.
Other duties:
• Ensure schedules are ahead of time via planning and organizing of manpower situated for the project.
• Liaise and work closely with the Project Managers with feedbacks and ideas on discrepancies and problems within department.
• Ensure all amendments to drawings are made in due time and submitted to the relevant authorities.
• All updates of revised drawings shall be documented with transmittal forms.
• Any significant changes of routing or additional items must be highlighted to Quantity Surveyors to constitute a Variation Orders.
• Submit weekly site work progress report to Management.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as and when instructed by Management.
Job Holder’s Specification
• Possess a Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering. (Preferred but not necessary)
• At least 3 years of experience in relevant fields.
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD.
• Lots of initiative and excellent organizational skills.
• Must possess integrity and drive.
• Ability to withstand emotional distress and work pressure.
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills- to deal with customers and external contacts.
• Good team leading skills.
