[Background and History] In his 1996 New Year Message, then Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong highlighted the need for Singapore to become a gracious society by the 21st century. Considerate social behaviour supported by a strong economy and good government will make Singapore the best home for its people. In line with Mr Goh’s call to build a gracious society, the Singapore Kindness Movement, formed in 1997, aims to encourage Singaporeans to make a real commitment to gracious living through simple acts of kindness in their daily activities. --- We aspire to inspire graciousness one kind act at a time. By sparing a thought for the people around us, we hope each of us can be greater, create a more gracious society, and make life better for you and me.

[Our Mission] To help build a gracious Singapore, the Singapore Kindness Movement aims to encourage the individual to internalise courtesy, kindness and consideration. [Our Mission Statement] To inspire graciousness through spontaneous acts of kindness, making life more pleasant for everyone. [Our Objectives] Encourage all Singaporeans to be kind and considerate. Create public awareness of acts of kindness. Influence and raise the standards of behaviour and responsibility.

At SKM, we keep our Team Kindness core-values of Synergy, Kinship and Mindset (SKM) in our hearts and minds, and in everything we do. Synergy is about teamwork. We are convinced that Together Each Achieves More (TEAM). Though we have our assigned sectors and each has a primary focus, we permit colleagues to call on one another to help in our respective tasks when there is a need. We make it a habit of asking each other, “How can I set you up for success?” Territorial mindset is actively discouraged. Kinship is about friendship. We consider the team our second family because we spend as much time at work as we do at home. We believe in building a bonding relationship where we learn to care for and share with one another. Do you have a personal interest in and disposition to kindness? SKM's looking for a Digital Marketing Intern! [Primary Responsibilities] - Understand, refine & communicate the focused positioning of the kindness movement, so that kindness is seen as a desirable universal trait for Singaporeans - Daily social media listening and monitoring of good news and negative sentiments on social media platforms - Suggest TikTok content for SKM and do filming where needed - Review SKM’s current social media content on our social platforms and suggest improvements - Source for possible creative & social media agency for SKM’s partnership - Monitor website traffic and craft plans on how to attract more traffic to the website - Assist in updating SKM’s Kindness.sg website content - Create social media assets (graphics or video) to achieve the team’s key performance indicators - Source for collaborative efforts with partners in promoting #BeGreater movement [Secondary Responsibilities] - Assist with SMC program initiatives and campaigns - Populate research work when required – specifically support and populate research insights relating to the team’s work area - Attend meetings, participate in discussions, take minutes of meetings and arrange meeting schedules - Meet and familiarise with SKM’s external vendors and stakeholders - Liaise with agencies, suppliers and partners as required - Support the Head of Strategic Marketing & Communications in ad-hoc strategic planning and execution to achieve the mission and vision of SKM - Contribute article ideas and write articles for The Pride - Assist Managers in daily team operations and #BeGreater movement [Requirements] - Good understanding of popular social media channels - Excellent written communication skills - Possess a pleasant personality, cheerful disposition and good interpersonal skills to communicate and work with people across all levels of the organization - Relevant knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite FYI, working hours: 5-day workweek, 9am – 6pm. :) (When required to work on weekends for specific events, time off-in-lieu can be taken to offset such working hours) If you are ready to Be Greater with the Singapore Kindness Movement, click "I'm interested" to connect!
