We’re looking for analytical and passionate people to join our team as Investment Associate, Fund Management, based in Singapore.
You will collaborate closely with more experienced team members and other professionals as a member of our investment team to identify and assess possible investments in cutting-edge start-ups and technologies. You will have the opportunity to participate in every step of the investing process, gain knowledge from the team's expertise, and contribute to it.
Job Responsibilities
• Assist across all stages of deal execution from sourcing of new deals, preparation of investment memos and other due diligence, through to successful exit opportunities.
• Performing general industry and thematic research to facilitate idea generation and identification of opportunities.
• Review business plans and pitch decks, identify and evaluate potential investments.
• Conducting detailed analysis on potentially attractive investment opportunities. This includes:
o In-depth research on the business fundamentals of the target companies.
o Developing financial models for determining valuation.
o Performing competitive analyses of companies in target industries and sectors.
o Writing detailed investment memorandums and presentations.
o Presenting research findings, assumptions, rationale, and investment recommendations.
o Supporting deal execution and closure.
• Manage and track portfolio company reporting and analyse portfolio companies' financial performance.
• Assist with quarterly portfolio valuations.
• Prepare and maintain fund and portfolio company dashboard.
• Assisted with fundraising related matters.
• Build relationships with entrepreneurs and other industry professionals.
Job Requirements
• 2-3 years of experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance and/or VC/PE.
• Strong financial analysis and financial modelling skills.
• Excellent analytical skills, detail-oriented, proactive and self-motivated.
• Ability to work well in a team and think creatively and strategically.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with an ability to develop and maintain effective business relationships.
• Self-starter who can work autonomously and multi-task in a dynamic environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other office productivity tools.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance/Economics/Engineering from a recognised undergraduate school, and/or professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, etc.
• Experience working in and familiarity with South East Asia.
