What we do
TeamSparta is a fast-moving edtech startup in South Korea offering a Web Development Bootcamp in an online full-time course(14 weeks) via metaverse platform called Gather.town. Founded in Seoul in 2019, our vision is “anyone can make an impact with software”. We’ve certified over 400,000 students all over the world and helped them go onto build amazing businesses and careers.
Students learn the best in an engaging and supportive classroom environment, so we are building the best online learning management system to make that happen. With our metaverse learning platform, operational expertise and flipped classroom model, students learn programming effectively anywhere in the world and spend +100 hours per week on their learning intensively. In the global market with a high demand for software engineers, we train our students to obtain successful and professional careers by connecting them with the best companies and opportunities.

Why we do
Instructor-led lectures should no longer dictate how bootcamps teach students because great software engineers learn by doing. We propose high-quality training without having to resort to lectures. Our students learn programming from and with each other through project-based learning and teamwork so that they can develop both technical and people skills that are crucial in the job market.
How we do
At TeamSparta, our people are agile, intelligent, compassionate and humble. We are looking for a well-connected and talented Country Manager in Japan who will drive our global expansion in Japan. We aim to foster a global software ecosystem by building an exceptional learning platform that seamlessly produces professional software engineers and connects companies with talent worldwide.
You won’t be alone to reach this mission! We will offer global teams all the tools and support they need at full speed. Let’s build an expansive software community globally together!
As a new team member
[What you’ll do at TeamSparta]
- Successfully market our product to target audiences, reach enrollment targets, and strengthen brand awareness across Japan.
- Define the general business strategy for Japan in line with the global and regional vision of the company.
- Proactively identify growth levers and implement an action plan to activate them.
- Work with our global teams to optimize existing tools and processes.
- Provide students with an amazing experience before, during, and after the Bootcamp.
[What you’ll need]
- Interests in business development, project management, global expansion or other relevant sectors
- BA/BS degree from top-tier school preferred (or currently at university for 3rd/4th grade)
- Native Japanese and Fluent in English/Korean
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Extensive networking skills and ability to make partnerships happen
- A creative mindset and enjoy putting in place initiatives to solve practical issues
- A technical background in engineering or computer science is a plus.
