This man hails from the luxurious and gorgeous city, Paris. His name is Maxime Perrimond, who speaks lovely French, “Je t'aime”. He left his beautiful motherland to work in Japan. Why Japan? Why Zenport? Let’s interview him to take a glimpse into his career and life in Japan.

Ambition for Ambitiousness Led Me to Japan

- Bonjour Maxime, comment ça va (how are you)? You are the 2nd Zenport pirate. Today, I’d like to interview you. First of all, can you introduce yourself?

Sure. At first, thank you for talking in French, but let's talk in English today. haha
If you'd like to study French, I’ll be your teacher. Anyway, I’m Maxime Perrimond from Paris. I was born and grew up there. I graduated from Epitech in Paris to get "Expert of Information Technologies" diploma and also studied abroad in Kent University to get Master of Computer Science of Artificial Intelligence.

- Wow, sounds like you studied very hard when you were a student. Then, what had you been doing before you joined Zenport?

I was working as a junior web developer, making a social network service for neighbors, but I become a tech-leader of the web team for almost two years. Actually, after I graduated from the college, I tried to find a job in a Japanese startup, but I couldn’t find any good companies because of the language problem.

- Oh, you have wanted to work in a Japanese company soon after your graduation. What aspects of Japan attracted you? And what brought you to Zenport?

First of all, same as Kevin, I love Japanese culture and wanted to feel and experience how the life in Japan was. In terms of Zenport, I was looking for a startup whose goal was big and ambitious, and where I could use English to work. Of course I used to work in a startup in France, but it was not so ambitious nor challenging for me. However, Zenport had what I was looking for.

- How did you know that?

Toshi told me his vision, then I was pretty impressed. Also, the startup in France was a BtoC company, so I wanted to work in a BtoB startup to see what the difference is and to learn how a company works and creates something new.

Never-Ending Progress to Create The Best

- It is so amazing that you found what you were seeking in Japan! So, as an engineer, what are you doing in Zenport now?

My main role here is basically lead our back-end side with Neo, who you are probably going to see later, but I never have enough time to work on it.

- I can see that it is really busy but challenging. You said that you wanted to work for big goals, but can we hear the goals that you have working in Zenport?

Personally, I want to be a developer of new products. For that, I am now improving my skill and getting experiences. Also, I really want to make our product the best that we can. Lots of people put up with using good systems or they make a bit better products, but I want to have the BEST system that we can make.

- That’s way impressive that you never compromise. To achieve your, and our ambitious dream, what kind of people do you want to work with?

Definitely those who are not afraid of learning new things and to be challenged. As the world changes everyday, we need to be open-minded to learn and adapt to anything in order to create the best things, especially in startups like Zenport.

- Sounds good. I totally agree with your idea. In order to make something innovative, we need to be open-minded and cooperate with. Anyway, thank you for making time for the interview today Maxime!
