Wantedly 101 — 3 Essentials to Make Your Job Post Great

You’re ready to publish your first Job Post - so now what?

On Wantedly, a Job Post is not a typical one. Think of it more as an invitation - a letter to your next team member. When reaching out to talent in today’s market, it’s important to get your company’s unique culture across. Think of: why would someone choose to work on my team?

Luckily for you, Wantedly is your tool for recruitment marketing, which means you’re able to effectively connect and engage with the right talent for your team. Your Job Post on Wantedly showcases your team’s vision, culture, and people like never before.

How do you access your company’s account on Wantedly?

You can switch between your personal and company account on Wantedly. Your personal account is where you can share details about yourself, browse and apply for jobs. Your company’s account is where you share your company’s story, publish Job Posts, and all things related to your company’s activities.

Now, let’s begin!

Step 1: Complete your Wantedly Profile

A major component of recruitment marketing involves making your employer branding more personable.

Under all Job Posts on Wantedly, there is a section for Company’s Members, where you and your team members can be featured. There is no greater way to make your Job Post more personable than showcasing who and what kind of people work on your team.

Having a complete Wantedly profile allows your Job Post to attract talent who have values that align with your company and team.

Keeping it short and simple may be better. Complete Profile leads to talents with same values=successful hiring.

  1. Log into Wantedly. Then, click the profile icon at the top right-hand corner of your screen.
  2. Select your name on the drop-down menu to edit your Wantedly profile.
  3. Click the profile icon again and select Edit your profile.
  4. Minimally, add your profile image and fill in your self-introduction as these two portions appear on the Job Post. Of course, you’re welcome to fill out the remaining sections as well.


The majority of today’s workforce (such as millennials) oftentimes research the members behind the companies they are interested in before they even apply. Transparency is highly valued on Wantedly, and the most active talent in our community truly care about who they’ll be working in addition to the role itself.

Step 2: Add your Company’s Information


Talent want to know about your company just as much they want to know about you. Add your company’s basic information to your company’s account on Wantedly.

On the Admin page for your company’s account, click Company & members and complete the available sections. It is best to at least complete the following sections:

  • Company Introduction (A summary of what your company does)
  • Logo image (128x128px)
  • Cover image (2560x800px)

Step 3: Share your Company’s Story

All Job Posts on Wantedly include a special section that describes the what, the why, and the how behind your company.

Sharing your Company’s Story not only leads to attracting the right talent for the role but also allows candidates to be more informed when they meet you. This section is required for you to publish your Job Posts; however, it’s saved across all Job Posts meaning you simply need to fill it in once (of course, if there are any updates, you’re able to go back and edit as you please).

1. Click Get Started on the menu in the top right corner of your Company’s account on Wantedly. Click Add for step 2, Write your company’s story.


2. Fill in the What we do, Why we do, and How we do sections. Answer these questions: what your company does, why your company exists, and how your company achieves its mission.


3. Add images to each section! A picture is worth a thousand words is very true on Wantedly. Your team’s unique culture can be conveyed through the images you share in this section. You can attach images by hovering the cursor to the section you would like to add images and clicking the image icon.

4. Finally, save the changes and click Save.

You can also click the button under your company's name to edit your company info, which will be displayed on each of your Job Post.

Your next team member is out there! Completing these 3 steps ensures you’ll meet the right people for the open role on your team.
