Hello, fellow tech enthusiasts! I'm Karthik, a DevOps Engineer hailing from India but currently immersed in the vibrant tech scene of Japan. Since February 2022, I've been on an exhilarating journey with Securitize, where every day brings new challenges and opportunities to innovate in the realm of DevOps.

In the first place, Securitize gives me the place to work freely. I like the work culture in Securitize very much, it has the policy of work from anywhere and anytime. Securitize gives a lovely environment to work in and the people whom I interact with are very friendly and cooperative that makes my work very easy.

On the other hand it's really challenging to work with Global team, as all the infrastructure resources are used by the developers all over the world, my limit of work is not only within Japan. We have to work with all the developers from Japan, Israel and the USA. Most of the implementations are for Global set up, that can be used by Securitize Japan and US.

My role as the DevOps Role at Securitize:

DevOps engineers like myself play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of software development, deployment, and infrastructure management processes at Securitize. Here's a glimpse into the multifaceted nature of our work:

1. Collaboration: We thrive on collaboration, working hand-in-hand with software developers, QA engineers, and system administrators to streamline processes and foster efficiency.

2. CI/CD Implementation: Central to our operations is the implementation and maintenance of robust CI/CD pipelines, automating the build, test, and deployment phases for swift and reliable software updates.

3. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Leveraging tools like Terraform and Kubernetes, we embrace the IaC paradigm to automate infrastructure provisioning and management, ensuring scalability and consistency.

4. Monitoring and Security: From setting up monitoring tools like Prometheus to integrating security best practices into our CI/CD pipelines, we prioritize system performance, reliability, and data protection.

5. Automation and Cloud Management: Automation is our mantra as we automate repetitive tasks, optimize cloud resources on platforms like AWS, and ensure high availability and scalability of applications.

6. Global Focus: While our primary focus lies in the APAC region, we actively contribute to global initiatives, collaborating with teams worldwide to drive innovation and standardization.

Additionally, we stay proactive by constantly researching and evaluating new tools and technologies, striving to stay ahead in the ever-evolving DevOps landscape.

At Securitize, our work style is characterized by collaboration, agility, proactivity, and attention to detail. From implementing new CI/CD pipelines to supporting blockchain-based applications, we're at the forefront of technological innovation. Also, we leverage version control systems, containerization technologies, cloud platforms, and automation scripts to drive efficiency and reliability.

We also continually engage in learning and exploration, diving deep into DevOps tools, cloud computing concepts, scripting languages, containerization platforms, and security practices to enhance our skills and knowledge.
